Why is the GOP so silent in commenting on the Clinton
sex scandal?

They may be afraid of having their "closets" opened (such as
900 FBI files?) by Clinton allies as a strategy to silence
their criticism as recently alluded to by George Stephanopoulos
on ABC-TV. He referred back to the Kennedy presidency when Robert
sent J. Edgar Hoover to Republican congressional leaders to squelch
their comments in re John's sexcapades with a young lady who
happened be an East German spy. J.Edgar told them "Don't
investigate this because if you do, we're going to open up
everybody's closets." From that point forward, Congressional
Republicans' "silence was golden."

If that strategy is again put in play by a threatened President,
it will be interesting to see who amongst the GOP menbers of
Congress will have the political "guts" to stand with Mr. Barr in
his "Inquiry of Impeachment."
