& Mr. Chicken." He was a wonderful comedic actor and it's sad to lose
such a gifted soul (especially one from around these parts - Knotts grew
up in Morgantown, WV., home of the West Virginia University Mountaineers,
where Jerry West went to school).

        But, Knotts is proof that you can't barbecue your lungs with
coffin nails without paying for it at some point. The way Don smoked,
he's mighty lucky (no pun intended) that he made it to the age he did.
