Eight children removed from home...

...four tested positive for cocaine.

After a child was brought in to a local Dallas hospital suffering from
an injury, doctors and ER personnel noticed the child was sluggish and
not very responsive to what had to be painful injuries. A test of the
child's blood tested positive for the presence of cocaine.  Child
Protective Services (CPS) was called in and they eventually went to
the home of the child. There, it was discovered that a total of three
adults and eight children lived in the home. It was discovered that
three additional children tested positive for cocaine and their mother
and father tested positive for the drug. None of the children (which
included a set of twins) were over five years old. The home had little
food and was filthy. The mother and father were placed under arrest
and the eight children were removed from the home until a disposition
could be made on the case by CPS.
