Exactly.  The question Rush asks over and over, "why don't the Democrats 
just pass the bill without Republicans?" is right on.  Especially when 
the President has repeatedly said that the 'crisis' demands immediate 

Also, the dangling of the Commerce job in front of Judd Gregg can be 
seen as purely political.  Why the "job offer" only now?  You would 
think that once Richardson pulled out, they would have gone to Plan B 
relatively soon.
