It was one of those stories that bleeding-heart liberals love to latch
onto: A new study found that eight billionaires control as much wealth
as half of the world’s poorest people.

However, while the left loves to plaster stories about it all over
social media, there’s one aspect they won’t talk about — the fact that
six of the eight moneybags-types are ardent liberals or had connections
to the Democrat Party in one way or another.

According to The Associated Press
<http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/E/EU_DAVOS_INEQUALITY?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2017-01-15-19-02-51>,
the study was done by British group Oxfam.

“It is obscene for so much wealth to be held in the hands of so few when
one in 10 people survive on less than $2 a day,” Winnie Byanyima,
executive director of Oxfam International told The AP.

No. 1 was Bill Gates, with $75 billion in assets. Gates worked
extensively with the Bill and Hillary Clinton Foundation, according to
Politico
<http://www.politico.com/story/2016/06/bill-gates-clinton-trump-224476>,
and said last year that while he would “approach any administration with
a positive open mind,” he had more experience working with the Clintons.

No. 2 was Amancio Ortega, a Spanish fashion magnate who keeps a very low
public profile.

No. 3 was investment guru Warren Buffett, at a little over $60 million.
Buffett has been a major supporter of the Democrats, often outspoken in
his support of both Barack Obama and liberal ideas in general.

No. 4 was Mexican magnate Carlos Slim. According to The Washington Free
Beacon
<http://freebeacon.com/politics/new-york-times-top-shareholder-is-a-clinton-foundation-donor/>,
he’s another Clinton Foundation donor. He pledged over $100 million to
the Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative, a partnership between
the Clinton Foundation and Canadian magnate Frank Giustra. He’s also the
largest shareholder in The New York Times
<http://conservativetribune.com/writer-cleared-stories-clinton/>.

No. 5 was Jeff Bezos of Amazon, at a little over $45 million. Owner of
The Washington Post, Bezos donates mostly to Democrat candidates,
according to Heat Street
<https://heatst.com/politics/hillary-emails-clinton-foundation/>, and
said that the media’s interest in Hillary Clinton’s private email server
<http://conservativetribune.com/hillary-staff-made-illegal-move/> was
“out of control.”

No, 6 was Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg. It may not surprise you that
Facebook’s chief executive is a liberal. Breitbart
<http://www.breitbart.com/tech/2016/10/18/wikileaks-emails-show-facebook-ceo-zuckerberg-wanted-to-meet-with-clinton-campaign/>
reports that WikiLeaks emails showed Zuckerberg wanted to meet with
Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
