[Rushtalk] 12 Worthless RINO against tax cuts

Importance is irrelevant. He’s the governor. That won’t change until his term is up. California is not about to recall him. It’s one of my objections to term limits: he can’t run again, so he can get away with anything he wants. And he is! Like much about the country, we are on the decline. I like to believe it can be reversed, but not until conservatives outnumber the dems at the state level. In the meantime, I think the best we can hope for is to lessen the slope of the decline. It’s always been a liberal state, no doubt, but good ole’ Barrack Obama drove the wedge of divisiveness so deep that I am not sure we’ll ever pull it out. Not just California, but the whole country. Face it; he was successful. He fostered more hatred and violence and disruption than any president in history, and he managed to get his worshippers to believe it is Trump’s fault. We can throw all of the temper tantrums we want, yell, scream, pound our fists, kick our feet, and no one will believe. To me, this is the problem that deserves energy, not him calling me a “freeloader”.

Interesting philosophy. I would think the governor of your state would be even more important than the POTUS and only slightly less important than your mayor.

I would expect nothing less from him. The only reaction he got from me when he said that was a chuckle.

Over my life I have learned (most of the time) to pick my battles. If I am going to put energy into something, it won’t be Jerry Brown.

Tell me, Stephen, how you feel when reading that Brown thinks you're a deadbeat for not wanting higher taxes...........

I am anxious, though not excited, to see the real difference. We are in high-tax area, but by doubling the standard deduction, we should pretty much break even. If our bracket drops, we may even come out ahead. I think that the reigning idiots like Brown are worried that, by losing the state tax deduction, the citizens will be more aware of the burden of the state taxes alone. I don’t think he gives a rat’s ass for the tax payers – other than the fact that they will now be more aware!

Why? I would not have expected anything different. They are from high tax states and their constituents will lose a large deduction on their Schedule A. They are looking out for their own constituents which is what they were elected to do. I cannot fault them for that.
